I don't know all the civilizations in the world but even with all the civilizations I do know, I feel that I can't say which is the greatest, the Chinese, or the Aztecs, or the Egyptians, or the Greek or the Japanese, or the roman empire. There are far to many and a lot more others in the world. But I could say that every great civilization has fallen, their pillars of foundation have cracked and lost, their greatness lost in History.

The Japanese...for sure. Come on, even after getting NUKED they rebuilt their society from the ashes to become the world's 2nd strongest economy.

They have a beautiful aesthetic based on minimalism and naturalism. They have tons of hot, slutty chicks. And they produced more Jazz albums than the US or the UK in the 70s.

They are fastidious about hygiene and, so far, are the only ones in the world who could rule China!

Since you use the present tense asking "which one IS" I cannot answer specifically. You did not include the ancients. The Western civilizations have some excellent nominees. Denmark, Sweden, Switzerland, etc. Although they are not necessarily different civilizations, they have cultures that are admirable.

Dude, there is no greatest civilization because a civilization in itself is great. They all had their apex and declines, triumphs and downfalls, virtues and corruptions. It's like a dynastic cycle that rolls over and over again.

yes i'd have to agree with the person above me. Termites/ants.

Those little bugs can do some amazing things (that is, relative to their own size). Never seen a termite mound before, much less a termite, or inside a termite mound :(

edit: two spaces above me... wtf... cockroaches
