Um, well I have always thought that we are all very intelligent, it's just that the government and economical needs of the country determine what type of intelligence has most value placed on it.

Many creative, caring, practical etc. skills go unrewarded and deemed less intelligent because they are not as valued at this time in the political climate.

Many people out there feel they are not intelligent or less intelligent because they can't command the salaries others can or that only particular subjects command respect.

The school curriculum when you think about it is so narrow and based on what drives the economy, which makes sense to a point, but there is a wealth of other learning that students miss out on.

The university of life graduates are probably some of the most intelligent people around.

excellent question! yes, i think those who have high levels of intelligence are just as much accountable for their actions, and the actions that could have an effect on those less fortunate to themselves, as the rest. and its not just about the different levels of intellegence, it is also important to establish that there are many types of intelligence people encompass with and obtain.
artistry is intelligence- be it drawing, painting, being musical is inteligence- like playing an instrument, being able to read music, as well as understanding the components and parts of a car, like the motor, and how the stering wheel functions for eg. that is intelligence still. intelligence is not just about knowing what you know, its not just about facts, figures and knowledge but how he/she applies or makes good use of that knowledge to good effect. for example, you may be smart and have an IQ of 145 for instance, but the issue is how and in what ways does he/she apply it and of which helps benefits other individuals. its one thing talking about something, but its also another to make something happen afterwards. as the saying goes, actions speak louder than words

Not really, we all have a responsibility to be socially responsible, lack of intelligence doesn't mean lack of respect for your fellow man.

Differing levels of intelligence just means that some poeple are suited to cleaning and maual work and others are suited to being scientists and lawyers etc.

Wow what a funny question. But intelligence is relative isnt it?

Some are better academically and some have better common sense and life skills which I think are more important.

i'm not sure what you're asking.
intelligent people should be taxed more??
there is a big difference between intelligence and common sense. i think that it is everyones job to help those less fortunate.

hey..
yup..upto a stage u can say they hav a duty of helpin others who r less fortunate
but it should not be too obvious that the person feels that u think he is low level..it hurts
it depends on the person u wanna help..

if they dont talk much..offer help
if they talk too much..wait until they ask u for help..

c'ya!

oh god. I feel you.

I am what you would call uperclass. And its such a shame. Its as if people like me are obligated to constantly be trying to help the lower classes and trying to spend all my time figuring out solutions rather than having fun with my life and doing what i enjoy.

People tell me, '19 with your own house? who cares if some one stole your ipod.'

its like wtf?! just because how i was born obligates me to different societal standards whereas i shouldnt care when people steal petty items from me? I should be buying everyones dinner i should ect....

No, i think the ones with high intellect should do what they please and what makes them feel happy.

For what purpose???? Perhaps only to relieve them of the infernal bother of actually getting motivated and caring for themselves and their kin properly....................Wotever, personally I see no plausible reason to be so inclined, there's no gratitude anyway, these people simply expect to be cared for and just put out their hands..................:)

We should care equally for every member of society regardless of their intellect.
