If you are the sort of person that lets a cat out to wander about then get a dog or one of your p**** off neighbours may arrange an accident for it. I know of 3 people who have done so and once when I had problems with the neighbours cat... frankly I would loved to have done the same but am just not that way inclined (although I did think about it).
It quite unbearable to have someone elses cat/s wander in a spray their stench around the house/doors etc, to **** in the vegie garden, kill other peoples pets, jump into cars and wreck the upholstery if the windows are down.
Get what ever you like but please keep it to yourself.

Depends upon your lifestyle. Don't get a dog if you're not home much. You would need to let it outside about 3x a day & their poop can pile up something fierce.
If you do go out alot or are gone for days at a time, get two cats - not one - so that they can keep each other co. Its best to get littermates or two older cats from a shelter who must be adopted together. Usually the older cat's owners have died or gone into a nursing home.

It depends how much time do you have to be home? a dog needs more time than a cat does & if you need to leave for a day or more you can with a cat but you cant leave a dog home alone for to long.

It depends on what you like, and your situation. If you have a lot of time to spend with an animal, then a dog might be right for you. Cats, on the other hand, are more independent, and require less attention than dogs (as a rule). Whichever one you choose, make sure you know its needs in terms of shelter, food, medical care, and cleanliness.
Happy new pet!

How much room do you have. Dogs need more space and lots of exercise. Are you gone for long periods of time? If so a dog would need someone to watch him while you're gone. Cats need less attention, but can be less affectionate, also not very good at playing catch.

cat if you want an easy pet to own. dogs take more time. you have to take them out or have a fence, walk them, and train them. I have 2 dogs and no cats. I like dogs better. whatever you do, you should adopt.

Cats are hug-able, lap-able, good company. Will take care of themselves when you are gone ( if you leave food and water out). Dogs are hug-able, depending on the size lap-able, and protectors but you can't leave for a very long time before they need outside.

Get a cat, they're cute and fluffy. Most dogs look scary and they take up a lot of space.

Those are different splendid experiences of friendship.A dog treats you as a God,he is your best friend and gives his life for you.The cat is a king,he alowes you to treat him as a king.
Many things depend on the education, but the main lines are those.
