You’re right, there are many more divorces than 20 or even 10 years ago... but look, the same happens in Europe as well...
Why? Well, first of all you should know that even more often women claim for the divorce than men.
- We are not willing to accept any longer being used like a sexual toy and housewife and nothing more.
- Women do not want to serve their husbands like slaves anymore.
- Women are angry, because after marriage many times their brand new husband think that they have the right to ask (and even force) them to quit their job and give up their career
- Women don’t want to stuck eternal to a guy which has been chosen by their families. In former times women agreed to arranged marriages without complaining. Nowadays many women marry this guy to please their parents and after a short time they find out that this isn’t the life they wanted for themselves.
- Women are fed up with husbands cheating on them.
- Generally speaking: Women have discovered that they can get along well without a snoring, demanding and selfish husband...
- Husbands divorce many times, because they were expecting a woman just like their mother: Without proper will or identity, just being happy and satisfied with being the wife of... , cooking, cleaning, no working, no career, no having any needs and bringing a child to the world each year...
- Sometimes husbands also divorce because they also can’t stand a arrange marriage and want to break away.
Well, it seems that many times women and men expect and want different things from each other and the expectations are too high for both...
In former times it worked out so well, because women were treated like 2nd class human beings and had no political rights or the whole society was against them.
Now men’s brains have to change a lot.......
.... But don’t worry, in Europe they have the same problems.... men are men everywhere, so.....................

Majority of the marriage in India is love marriage. Boy and girl fall in love and get marriage.THEN they realized that they need a job. Boy works whole day and wife looks after house and children (During this period love between them decreases). Boy comes tired from work and the wife prepares the meal. They both eat and go off to bed. Husband doesn't want any sexual activity because he is tired and has to go to work in the morning.
Next day the wive goes to town to do shopping. Here she sees expensive items and in the afternoon fights with the husband to buy her one item. Husband can't because he is earning less and needs money to pay electric and other bills. This routine follows daily and the love between them finishes. Both get frustrated of other and leave each other.

This is a story of many people in India. In front of love they forget about their career. Remember, what u put on the table of the family matters

There are mancy cases of divorce and seperation. In some cases, it is because the woman finally found the courage to stand up against the abusive husband. In some cases it is because the couple made a wrong choice in considering themselves as inseperable in the love before marriage, and in some cases, it is because the expectations of society and their jobs have taken a toll on them or their relationship. I hope this answer clears it all.

Its because

1) Couple don't have time to discuss their problems
2) Women has become more independent
3) People are working in a great pressure, hence get irritated very often.
4) Expecting too much from each other.

I am single, but can makeout the above from experience of people close to me.

Various reasons:
1. Expectation level of both man/ woman has increased.
2. Craving for lust and money.
3. To some extent love marriages can also be one reason.
4. Blind love, Lack of understanding of reality.
5. Power and prejudice.

because it;s so rasy to do--- if it wasn;t so easy to just walk away from a marriage then people wouldn;t just jump into a marriage so quickly---if the governments of the countries would stop playing games with the peoples lives and make it harder to get out of a marriage then you wouldn;t be seeing this happen very often---but we;ll not see this happen ---the governments are only interested in getting as much money as they can from the people at any exspence or lives it costs THE PEOPLE.

not just in India, but here in the USA too

I think it's because people are so wrapped up in what/who makes them happy that when things go wrong
they do not want to take out the time to try counseling
they just want to end things in the hopes of finding
someone else to make them happy ( don't the wedding
vows mean anything anymore, for better or for Worse ? !)

(sorry, it's just sad that this happens SO much )
