Ovulation mucus?

Question

I know around ovulation you should have a egg white discharge but i just cant work this out my mucus is always clear i havent noticed the change?could this mean im not ovulating?and sounds horrible but could someone beter describe the mucus to me?

I heard the mucus is clear & jelly like (not just a discharge). Kind of like a small blood clot in texture but clear. That's how i used to know when i was ovulating.

The "egg white" discharge is a general discription. It's not always the same for everyone. For me, it didn't look like an egg white, it's almost always whitish, but the stretch does change, which helps in determining when I'm near ovulating.

You will also have to pay attention to your cervical mucus all cycle long. This is the only way you'll notice the change.

With your cervical fluid, I suggest charting your temperature. Your temperature, plus the cervical fluid are 2 things that will definitely tell you when you're ovulation, or if you're ovulation in the first place.

I got really confused with this too!
Mine always seemed to look the same and everyone was going on about the changes that should happen around ovulation.
I decided that it was easier to by a home ovulation predictor kit to see if and when i was ovulating and go from there.
I had a positive OPK result and i can assure you there was still no changes to my cervical mucus!
And i have found out 2 days ago that i am pregnant!
Sp don't get too stressed about cervical mucus, i am sure you are ovulating if your periods are regular etc.
Just get a OPK to check it out and when you get a positive do the deed everyday over the next three days and heh presto!!!

Get used to putting a little of your mucus between your fingers and seeing how far it stretches before it breaks. At around the time of ovulation, it should be much stretchier - a few cm before it breaks, whereas normally it would break very quickly.
Always wash your hands before and after.
Consider taking your temp every day as well as this will give you another clue.

There are different types of cervical mucus: the most fertile variety is called "egg white cervical mucus" because it feels and looks like raw egg white. It was quite stretchy as well.
Other CMs are watery: which looks similar to the EW, but dries quickly on your fingers and does not stretch, creamy: which is lotion like, not stretchy, this is the next most fertile CM, then sticky...

The mucus is often called "egg white " because it resembles (looks like ) raw egg white. Clear and jelly like and NOT cooked eggwhite, which is opaque and white in colour.
