black (charcoal or pencil) is wonderful and simple for drawing. Paintings are really meant to have color. I mean, painting is an art OF color. And photos look great in both, though black and white can lend a classic appeal, or invoke nostalgia.

colored looks more-better-didnt u see dat da mona lisa is painted colored-so in my opinion colored is betta not only in the options u gave-but every other type[if availaible].
