Daughter! I have 2 of them, hell on wheels when it comes to the computer and the TV. You'll be able to enjoy it when she spends the night away, thats what we do. hehehehe

Why spend all that money to watch the same cruddy shows with canned laughter in bigger size and wider sound?
Spend you money on something worthwhile like a trip overseas and enjoy other cultures you will feel far richer for the experience and have less eye and ear strain from watching junk commercials scream crap at ya hour after hour in movie breaks.

go for it bro. Use the money that will be rightfully returned to you. Besides, it is your duty as a consumer to contribute to our nation's economy! The HDTV would be a good way to do that:)

you'll have to pick between 1080i or 1080p, you'll have to decide if regular HD content is good enough of if you want blue ray, i say wait for second generation of blueray
