I saw on tv once where one guy wrapped everything in his buddy's house in aluminum foil. I mean everything. He wrapped the stuff in his cabinets. He unrolled his toilet paper and wrapped it in foil and rerolled it. There was nothing left unwrapped.
The guy got him back though. When his friend was out of town he had a hamster wheel welded together inside his apartment. Then he filled the entire apartment with shredded newspapers.
I know these pranks are a little outrageous and probably not what you are looking for, but I thought they were fun pranks and worth mentioning.

Life size toy cockroaches, or rats hidden around the house especailly in kitchen drawers, waiting to be discovered. .

my all time favourites is getting dressed up and hiding in the cupboard or shower. And also making a skiddy patch with washing up liquid.
