If the doctor has told you its broken and not strapped it then you should leave it as it is. If you are diagnosing it yourself then maybe you should gt it confimred officially.
All broken bones take around 6 weeks to heal, eat a good balanced diet and drink plenty of water and you will heal nicely. A little extra calcium wont hurt you each day;

If the toe is displaced, you'll need to have it set, which needs to be done by a doctor (you'll need a bit of pain medication, as it can be pretty painful). If the break is minor, then buddy-taping it to the fourth toe should work just fine. You might also consider wearing a hard-soled shoe to support the toe, and allow the other four toes to do the work of balancing while the little one heals. Most such minor fractures heal in about six weeks.

It will take about 4 weeks, but the pain should fade away by then.
I had my small toe broken (didnt see a rock on the beach), and it took about 4 weeks.
There is, unfortunately, nothing you can do as the bone is so tiny. You could strap it to the other toe, but you should be careful not to cut off the bloodstream. Use a wide tape made of fabric, not a plastic one. Try to wair open shoes (flipflops or sandals) to ease the pain.
Good luck, as I know it sucks!

You can strap it to the next toe to help keep it straight but I've broken my little toe before and clumsy me I stubbed again on a table leg within a few weeks and to be honest,every now and then it still hurts a little, I don't think it will ever fully heal. It's only slightly outa shape though.
PS My mums a nurse at A&E and she said they can't do anything so you just gota be careful.

Ouch - sadly, there is very little you can do for a small broken toe beyond strapping it carefully (and not too tightly, you don't want to cut off the blood supply) to the next one.
Neurofen gel should help bring the swelling down and ease the discomfort. Broken bones in general tend to take about 6 weeks to heal, so try to be nice to it for a couple of months.

Well yes your friend was correct,with most fractured toes we normally strap them to the toe nxt to it,but when the fracture is badly displaced the bones normally have to be pinned fpr a couple off wks till the fracture sight is growing new bone.Normally with a hair line fracture i normally takes about 6-10wks depending on the fracture and the position.Make sure you keep the foot elevated when possible,apply a cold compress is there is alot off swealing,check for circulation making sure the toes are not cold andnot going blue,and only put partial weight on that foot.Good Luck

Taping it to d adjacent finger is a pretty good idea but u should not do it on ur own.Its called as strapping n it should be done by some one who is trained to treat injuries or else u run d risk of d fracture healing crookedly. Best thing for u to do is to give hot fomentation,avoid weight bearing as much as possible,keep ur foot elevated with a pillow,take some pain killers(after food) and ur toe should be alright in three weeks.

It all depends on the person, Calcium supplements cvan help the body to rebuild broken bones as well as taping the broken toe to another one and don't put any undue stress on the foot with the broken toe. For the pain you can take Ibuprofen if you aren't allergic to it and not on any other medications which could interfere or interact with it, or you can take plain Tylenol (Acetominophen) just ask your pharmacist to be sure. I took a calcium supplement and a multi-vitamin when I shattered my wrist and it healed fairly quickly and when they took x-rays they couldn't even tell where the wrist had been shattered before. Also ellivating your foot above heart level helps to increase circulation to the broken toe.

Yes, tape it to the other toe but put some cotton wool between the toes, it is a very awkward place to bust a bone but if your carefull 3 to 4 weeks, if not 6.

Tape it to your neighbouring toe and try not to wear tight shoes or knock it. Should take about a month in all to heal. Very painful. Good luck
