when you want to terminate a monthly plan or terminate service you are transferred to a "SAVE DEPT" where they will offer you everything and anything to get you to agree to a new contract. ANswer the next phone call but inform them that if they continue to call you will view this as harassment and you would like it to stop. Depending on the laws in your country they must at that point cease and desist or be liable to face charges, fines or inspection by the government ...good luck

Your best option is to answer the call and tell them your not interested this will take you off the dialler and you will stop getting calls. Once you right in it will take 30days to cancel to pay as you talk. Most companys will do this, if you are looking for the best deal these will give you it, if you definatly want to go to pay as you talk just tell them when they call.

Talking to oftcom will be pointless ill save you the time, they will only take on complaints that have failed to be resolved by the provider, but you first have had to follow their escalation route.

Answer and it will solve you problems

Vodafone are always doing things like this... Even though I'm only on Pay as you Go I still get text messages every single day trying to give me new offers to get me to go to contract.

Just get onto a manager there and threaten to report them. They should soon stop.

Yes, unfortunately it is their normal sales practice to harass customers as much as possible, especially when you want to terminate your contract or switch to other methods of payment/tariffs etc., legally they are in no position to ignore your request if you put it in writing, so I would say send them a letter sharpish.
Check conditions of your contract too.
Just be patient and check your bank balance to make sure they don't sign you up for another 1 year/ 18 months automatically.

They did that to a friend of mine and boy was he mad when he found out!!!

Get on to trading standards ASAP!!! What Vodafone are doing is pure harrassment and I'm pretty sure there's laws against this kind of behaviour. They're website is www.tradingstandards.gov.uk

Probably depends on Network company. I threatened to leave T-Mobile twice. They did nothing to encourage me to stay. In the end I couldn't be bothered with the hastle of changing.

It's not a good idea to put your number on a site like this by the way.

But yes it's their standard practise as they are a bunch of gypsies in my opinion.
