Sounds like you got some dry skin. You just need to use a really soothing facial moisturizer. If you can afford it, i would suggest Olay Regenerist.

P.S. If this keeps happening after you have been using the moisturizer for a month, then you could have eczema on your face and you might need some cream prescribed by a doctor such as Elidel. Also you can go to Wal Greens and get Clotrimisole, it helps with eczema and dry skin. It's over the counter cream.

I sounds like your soap is too harsh for your skin-- many soaps are! They strip away skins natural oils, which leads to flaking, peeling, all sorts of things! You want a gentle cleanser (not soap), and wash with lukewarm water-- and no scrubbing! light exfoliation is fine--which is what a clean washcloth will do-- if your skin is red a minute of so after washing-- you are scrubbing too hard!

The soap or cleanser you are using is too harsh for your skin and is drying it out. Try a good moisturizer and switch to a gentle or sesitive skin product :-)

Your skin is becoming "dried out." Switch to a different cleanser for "dry skin."
