I've never heard of "Eve-teasing" (it's not in the OED either)

"Eves-dropping" should be spelt "eavesdropping"

To eavesdrop is covertly to listen in on a conversation. The origin of the word lies in the idea that a snoop would hang from the edge of a roof - i.e. the eaves of a building - to hear the goings-on within.

i remember something about eavesdropping being named because if you hung about under the eaves you could listen in on conversations inside the house..
