My Steve committed suicide on December 16, 2005. It's been a year now, and I'm supposed to be over it. Right.
Suicide is something that the person left behind has to really work at accepting. It is a slap in the face, in a way: I wasn't worth living for. Sadly, I think Steve believed I would be better off without him. In the long run, possibly; but only because he was giving up on himself. Had he not done that, clearly I would have rather he lived. I loved him, and he knew it. How could he give up? Hard to forgive, but I have forgiven him.
So if you are thinking about yourself, do very seriously think about those who love you. Not just those who don't know how to show it, who are making you so angry you find it hard to believe they love you, but the ones you know darn well do: grandparents, little sister or brother, the friends at school who would never talk that way, but the word love really does apply, just as you know it does for you about at least a couple or three of the ones you hang out with. Where you'd be really, really hurting if they died. They will be really, really hurting if you die. And when it's by your own hand, they always hurt double, thinking they should have known, could have saved you.
So, in the alternative, perhaps there is at least one person who will be honest with you and talk about this kind of thing with you. I sure hope so. Because when you think about suicide, and want to talk about your ideas, you need someone you trust who will do more than cover their ears and cry.
God bless you.

It's NOT a good idea. There is help out there for depression and people should realize that there is always a tomorrow and it could be better than today. When people commit suicide, they leave behind people that love them and are left feeling guilty that they couldn't do anything to stop it.

Hi..I think that suicide is for cowards. I think there are to many people who have lived through so many hard times that don't regret it..it seems silly to end it so soon. For the most part the good days out weigh the bad and if they don't,there are so many paths to take to change it that ending it early is just a waste. There is this scheme of things that I believe in very strongly. If there is no great purpose for you..it may be for someone else.Maybe your children with whom you've taught a great lesson or just someone you passed for a moment that is effected for the rest of their life because of your presence. There are hard times that hurt but there are also times you feel like you can fly.Live hard!

Humanbeing are the precious creator created by God . The god has send us here for definite work to do. Also this human body is a gift to mend our previous sin throgh suffering . If some one ends one's life ,it would be an interference in the work of God .committing Suicide is as bad as taking others life by cruel way.

A very, very selfish act. Had a friend(neighbor) who hanged herself a couple of months ago.My wife and I(both x-ray techs) preformed CPR (her boyfriend came to our house to get us)and waited for the 911 people to get there. But it was too late. We are both still angry with her. Such a waste.
By the way, if you want to do CPR on someone when they need it.Always carry a pocket CPR breathing mask. Trust me, the victim ALWAYS throws up. Thank God it only got in my beard...lol.

It depresses me when I think about myself and my families dying. So there's no way in hell I'm going to kill myself even if I find life horrible. I love life too much and I'm afraid of dying.
I don't think I'll ever understand suicide because I've never felt compelled to do it.

Not an option!
When I was seriously depressed, I was too lazy and weak to go through with a suicide plan. (besides my family would have killed me if I had. - lol)
No matter what, God loves you and that is all you need, until you can love yourself again.
