I believe you're old enough to make your own decisions. However, understand that he is 41 and lived a lot more of life than you may have.

Been there done that, thought it was real at the time...

No way. Run screaming for the hills, 'cause its never going to work. I bet your family are saying its a bad idea right? Well... thats because it is and they want to protect you, they dont want to see you get hurt and used by a dirty old man.

There are great guys out there (within say a 10 year age gap) that will love adore and cherish you, and be alive when your 60 (cause that may help). Just think if you have kids when they are 30 - you'll be 51 (in your prime still) and he'll be 71 (in the nursing home - unless you want to change his diapers).

No way.... forget it and find someone thats good for you.

Look for a man no more than 1 to 5 years older remember when your 40 he will be 60 and when your sixty he may not be around. He is old enough to be your father but not mature enough to realise it. A man More or less the same age is someone you will grow old with and share the same interest of your generation.
What happens when he can no longer look after himself and the sex is not there. A man or woman caring for someone with terminal diseased can go through years and years of caring and when alkzemas disease sets in to your husband you may as well kill yourself because your life is finished. End the relationship and say yes to the next young man of your own age when he asks you out. I am 25 and my wife is 22 our life is great. I hope yours is to, believe me take my advice.

i am 22 and going out with a 35 year old and yes we have our differences, but we are very much in love and very happy, and we have been together for nearly 3 years now.

You do have to accept that he will have had more life experience than you and has probably had a few partners, if he has been married before you will have to accept that he has had a past, and be able to cope with the baggage!

I honestly dont think age is a problem if you are in love you owe it to yourselves to try it out first.

I know when i first met my boyfriend i was worried, but we soon put the worries to bed and have become best friends as well as partners. I wouldnt change it for the world

Sorry not a girl, Im a dude but i have to weigh in as a fellow human being. Hell to the No, this ain't not gonna work at least its very, very not likely. When I say president you think Clinton, He thinks Reagan, seriously different cultural contexts, maturity levels etc. I'm sorry, and you're not gonna follow my advise anyways because you are 21 and in love, so how the hell could I know whats up. As much as I hope that you two can prove me wrong the Oddsmakers in vegas Say no.

Oh dear - it's OK for the moment but when he's 60 and you're 40 the age difference really starts to tell, but you could always swap him for a younger model at that time.
