Being successful means being happy and satisfied with your life. It does not mean having a lot of money.

The successful person does what he wants to when he wants to because he wants to and lives by no other's leave...under no other's power.
Verily success is the opposite of slavery...
Success is Freedom...it is that place striven to by the mass of men who will fall short...and sadly it is more often the place the criminal reaches through piracy than the good man achieves through his merit.
Success' true meaning is a subjective whirl...it is as individual as a dream. To seek an all encompassing response is tantamount to delusion or pride. Some define it as equality others define it as complete inequality. The main thing is, since life is short, people tend to create obstacles for the overcoming in their paths. The meaning of success cannot be defined until one determines why a particular conquest was chosen in the first place. The real meaning of being successful is a secondary circumstance, not a prime principle.

All depends on the individual. For some, it is a measure of wealth; of attaining some level of savings and material goods by a certain age.
For others, "success" just means having lived a good life; one well balanced with physical/sensual pleasures and the internal reward of having helped others instead of being totally selfish and cheap.

Knowing that when you are dead people would remember you for the things you did and the changes/impact you made in their lives and not for the things you had.
