No. And I don't think they will. If they contest it in court the chances are that they will lose and that will set a legal precedent. The floodgates would open and everybody who has been charged would apply to have them refunded. That would cost the banks a vast percentage of their profits.

No - they have always backed down prior to a case going to court. It's cheaper for them to refund charges rather than the expense of going to court. Of course, they just recoup the lost money elsewhere - for example, by raising interest rates on overdrafts.

no they can't. My boyfriend has just recieved £400 yesterday and his dad has got £1000.
