i am a vocalist of our band and i used to play just two songs since we jam with many bands...now we are the only band to play in the gig so i guess we need to stay longer...how can i keep my air supply for the whole gig?..i like to keep my voice quality as good as possible...

and take note:i sing rock songs of bands like my chemical romance, the used, avenged sevenfold...

the only song i really suffer much getting off-pitch is MCR's Welcome to the Black Parade since that one song is very long and has high notes....

i'd appreciate helpful answers,this is on March...=]thanks

you must practise deep breathing. singing songs that you have mentioned will kill your voice if you are a real singer. how do i know? I am a singer. with practise, (which will not come over night) you will be able to sing a three our show. But you need a break after singing 10 three minute songs.

In the Philippines, I studied voice projection with Erwin Cruz teaching how to endure singing up to 10 songs. There are techniques. But with regards to your case, you need breathing inverted order. Instead of filling your diaphgram, fill your stomach (abdomen) to the base. Clandestinly, he said, do same if your on stage for one line, using the air gradually until you finish one line of your song. repeat same technique for every line.It is the air in your abodomen role to lift the lines (voice) . So if the line requires prolongation, you can do it without much effort. No veins appearing on your neck. Practice breathing every now and then for inverted breathing. You will sing like Pavaroti or Mario Lanza. Good luck!
