You didn't mention how the nerves effect you, but breathing is very important to a singer, so I'll assume that's what is effected. Go to a yoga teacher or class and learn two breathing techniques. The first is called nadi shodana, or alternate nostril breathing (very calming.) The second is called ujjayi breathing. This breath is calming and also will help settle your stomach. Good luck with your show!

first of all, congrats on the performance. someone mentioned taking deep breaths and another mentioned picturing the audience naked. both of them are good ideas. I have performed in shows and have done a lot of singing in church. Prayer helps. That is one option. maybe do a "dress rehearsal" for a couple of friends/family members. That can break the ice before performing. remember the ones on stage may look calm and cool on the outside, but I bet they get nervous too. When you are on stage, try to not look directly at the audience. glance at the back of the room. take deep, deep breaths. don't forget vocal warmups before hand. good luck and I hope that you are a success!

Just focus on how good you're sounding. Good luck.
