Maybe one of you is committed to someone else already. Wow! That's really difficult. But I suggest you have to fight this feeling for him by avoiding him. Do not answer his call or sms if he's contacting you. Keep or throw things that will remind you of him like pictures or something. Indulge yourself to some activities that will make you busy. Date with other guys. Go to some interesting places and meet new people.
These are what I can think of and there are a lot more ways.

i know what u mean as i am trying hard to do the same
all people say u should do something else , keeping ur mind busy but it hardly worked for me
the only healer is time and its a long path

i know its hard - but sometimes, cutting off contact helps. keeping distance and occupying yourself with other things like career, hobbies and hanging out with other work. the one you want to ignor will soon start to fad from your mind - even if they dont - it would not bother you too much.

I dont understand why you would want to ignore them? But if its because you had a row, sulking wont solve anything, its best to talk things through.

the trouble being in love hurts; ever so much.iv loved someone for 15 years; and not once in that time ; as she ever said i love you in return.all we can do is keep our hopes up.don't worry; if ,you can get out of bed every day; you will be okay.

Why should u do it?! If you love someone, show him that. Don't be afraid of your emotions. It is hard, so don't try it. :)
