Considering your question, I'm assuming that you've no clue yet. Each of us has a particular purpose to fill and sometimes that answer only occurs to us after seeing what doesn't work and how our actions are affecting the world around us.
As a senior, believe it or not, I'm still asking that question. But I'm getting closer to the answer--I've been reading James Redfield's books, i.e. Celestine Prophesy, among his other 5-6 and each speaks to our becoming aware of SYNCHONICITY in our lives. . . Our awareness of the coincidences that pile up one upon the other, generally will point us in the right direction. Perhaps it's not so much that each of us have a higher purpose as it is to live each day wisely and with gusto. I believe it's the "Journey" that really counts! What kind of a traveller are you?

Your reason for living is to witness the atrocities that take place and perhaps be that one man that can make the difference in the lives of others

No one else can really answer that for you. The general answer is to make a contribution to this world, your community, your family. Only you can find out what that contribution is. But EVERYONE has one. Never give up trying to make your niche, and you will.

THIS WHOLE PLANET IS PART OF A LARGER FOOD CHAIN. JUST LIKE WORMS ARE EATEN BY CHICKENS, AND WE EAT THE CHICKENS... WE ARE BEING CULTIVATED TO SOMEDAY PROVIDE A SNACK FOR SOMETHING LARGER, OUT THERE IN THE UNIVERSE.
