There lungs are actually collapsed until they are born and they take their first breath which inflates the lungs. The placenta supplies everything the baby needs. Baby do have breathing movements in utero but is just for practice.

the toddler would not favor to breath to outlive in utero. The amniotic fluid is swallowed with information from the toddler and recycled with information from it is urine. The amniotic fluid serves as protection for the toddler, floating round in there for 9 months. each and each and every of the toddler's foodstuff/oxygen come from the placenta, connected to the toddler with information from the umbilical cord. I really have considered my babies "practice breath" with information from gazing my abdomen in late being pregnant. My time-honored practitioner informed me it changed into an illustration that the toddler's lungs were maturing and he or she changed into basically making waiting for outdoors the womb.
