Hobbes every time - he's got wicked racing stripes!

Garfield's are sodden with the grease off his last pizza.

If the foot race was with hobbes in his regular stuffed doll form. Garfield would naturally win.

If it was if somehow Calvin imagines hobbes to be real. Well, then with enough convincing, Hobbes would win.

Garfield. It is like a modern version of the tortoise and the hare. Hobbes starts out way ahead, but then he gets involved in a game of Calvinball with calvin, and when they disagree about the zone of invisibilty, they start fighting and rolling on the ground. While all this is happening, Garfield saunters across the finish line and promptly goes into cardiac arrest brought on by too much exercise at one time. Luckily, the EMT's saves his fat butt.

Hobbes-- because he is always stalking Calvin and running to the door to "greet" (translation: attack) him when he gets home from school. He also has to be quick to escape retaliation!

Garfield would have no interest in a foot race, as he prefers a sedintary lifestyle; sleeping, watching TV, and eating whatever Jon planned to eat himself. Of course, a tray of lasagna would be his meal of choice, but I've never seen him turn down any kind of food....
