Apart from price and battery life, nano wins in every area. Battery life is good on a nano, but because the shuffle has no screen, it uses less power.

I personally prefer ipod nano 2nd generation bcos it has better battery life,has a bright colour screen,more gbs,and constitutes the definition of an ipod.
I guess shuffle serves as a 2nd/fancy mp3 player after nano,like if you think that your nano will generate unwanted stares,go shuffle,you can easily hide it in your clothing & watch your tension/anxiety/blood pressure go down.

I prefer an ipod nano because it also has a screen and can store 1000 songs and photos and is really easy to carry round.

ipod nano provide more feature than ipod shuffle. But in term of prices ipod shuffle is much more cheaper
