Because they are under the misconception that the more money and manpower they throw into the pit will eventually have some results. Their is an alternate opinion that Bush wants to leave it to the next president so that they will bear the blame for whtever happens. Bush isn't too big on long range thinking though.

Having seen some of your other questions and responses in this forum, I know you are an intelligent person. Answer this if you will for yourself. Disregarding the question of if we should have gone into Iraq, we are now there. What would the results be if we suddenly pulled out and the effect on America. Financially and in the matter of security. Not to mention the worlds view on our ability stand adversity. The last "Democratic" fact finding group to go to Iraq, stated that the troops feel as if they are winning, are doing the right thing, and their biggest complaint was the outright dishonest and biased reporting of the major news networks. Please do some research into these questions with an open mind and some objectivity

They balk pulling the troops out of Iraq for the following reason:
1.They want to throw the rout on the shoulder of the new US precedent.
2.To earn as much money as possible.
3.To serve Israel as long as possible.
4.To apply their ideology for Israel interests
