You know, in democratic set up all the peoples are equal before the law. And the President , the Prime Minister and all other government fuctionaries regard as the servants of the people. Because all of them are living under the patronage of money contributed by the common people as tax and other levies. People includes prostitutes to smugglers to beggars are the part of such contribution. But in most of the countries such government dignitaries enjoys profound luxuries sans knowing the greivances of common people. We know ,still poverty & starvation plagued in our world. But the rulers think, all these enigmas are the fate of those poor people who have the duty to pay tax, at the same time cursed to expereince utter poverty without any right. Who, the great, invented this type of democracy? thanks for democratic autocracy! During the rule of kings, we did only tolerate one king. But now our parliament full of kings and we, the poor forced to tolerate hundreds of kings simultaneously

My dear friend i can understand ur feelings. But just look around the world.Do you know any country which has succeded because of dictatorship.look at the fate of Iraq iteslf.there are many countries in the world which has sufferd because of these dictators eg.Iraq,Chile, and many others.look at nepal, monarchy was not working there.
Monarchy has been successfull in some countries. But that doesnt mean that it will work for India. You dont know what others feel about India's democracy.some are amased that we have free and fair elections, independent election commission, independent judiciary, free media and atlast the freedom which this democracy which gives us.Democracy gives us the freedom of speech, expression etc.In some countries, the peolpe cannot even question their rulers.they will be killed for questioning them.
I know there are corrupt politicians, middlemen etc.
There is a saying that the elephant does not know how big it is.As you say that democracy is frustrating.many in the world are dreaming to be a democratic country. We are now 60 years old,and we are succeding that also and i think it is the best form of system suitable for India.Dont think that dictatorship, monrachy will make you happy.

You are making too many assumptions, also I picked up a sense of politics made out by self-opinions gone wrong. I hope you are aware that you are talking politics. The leaders/ politicians are given the "special " attention because you and I voted for them. They are important people- their well being reflect the homes/countries you are living in. Agree? Do you want to see your Prime Minister going around in a scooter on the way to Parliament? They work very hard to make the country strong and secure. They make mistakes, who doesn't. Your father make mistakes too -yet you want to se him live well, do you not?
