A quick history lesson, we used to own the Philippines. It w was a territory of ours after we kicked out the Spanish. After WW II we cut the Philippines lose.

think it would be a horrible idea to have the Philippines as a state or even a territory. There are a lot of radical Islamic groups there that are giving the Philippino gov't trouble as it is. Terrorists were originally going to blow up 12 planes headed to the us using gels and liquid explosives before 9-11, but a fire in their apartment gave them away. With those terrorists still active in the Philippines making it a stat right now would give the open access to the U.S. main land an not be good.

No, too much corruption and problems going on in the philippines, my question to you is why are most of the filipinos coming to states for jobs, because your working wages are so poor its not funny, i lived in the philippines for three years and seen how hard the filipino people work to make a living, they are very proud of their independence, when the military bases were there we helped the economy out greatly, since US bases were closed, your economy suffered greatly. as the philippines becoming another state, no you have too many rebelous groups which the government can't control now, so United States wouldnt want that headache. The filipino nation needs to make their government responsible for all the corruption that goes on there and help out their fellow countrymen.

The Philippines can no longer be another state of the US because it already gained its independence. It came closed to be a US state when it was still its colony.

Goodness, no! The Philippine people are a proud people who are in control of their own nation! Why would the USA make it another state, other than just for pure imperialism?

No, because that would be like erasing more than 300 years of Philippine history.

Things like that were what heroes like Andres Bonifacio were fighting against. They shed blood for the country to attain our own indepence! If they were alive today, they will surely spit at the idea of the Philippines being under colonial rule again!!
