I had this problem. I contacted the company I purchased from and I was told to put the computer into 'safe mode' (as soon put the pc on you hold down ctrl-alt-del) and you can change your password through doing that...
...Before contacting them, there was various websites that you can download something that overrides the password, however give the company a call 1st. They would give you the best advice

This method I am telling works only with WindowsXP ."I don't whether really yahoo violates people for giving answer. Also dont' visit the site astlavista, I think its a warez site. remember this is only my opinion ,I am not SURE.
Answer : While booting to windows press F10 to show boot type.
Select 'SAFE MODE' and press 'ENTER'. Now at the welcome screen you will see an administrator account of name "ADMINISTRATOR". Log in to that account. Now head on to 'Control Panel'>User profile. Select your account and select remove 'PASSWORD'. That's all. Now boot again normal to your account.
OR If there is any other account of ' administrator' type log on to that account and remove 'PASSWORD'.
