I wish the Lakers could return to that status but there a few problems with that suggestion...
1.) Bynam is NOT consistent (poor boy is there one day and on vacation the next)
2.) Odom doesn't make the Lakers great...but almost...I can only wonder when he'll be back....
3.) The Lakers don't have a strong 3rd person and nobody on the Lakers is scoring consistently on a daily basis besides Kobe
Therefore, the Lakers can only win a ring this year is Kobe continues the way he is, Odom comes back, and the other Lakers do their jobs....100% and become role players for Kobe to call on like Jordan did on his guys....
Or, they could just trade for Kevin Garnett...but no one listens to me.....

Definitely not. There are many teams better than the Lakers right now. The Lakers don't have the consistency to go up against teams like the Suns, Mavs, Jazz, Rockets, etc., in a seven-game series. Plus the Lakers can easily get whupped by teams like the Grizzlies, who aren't exaclty having their best times right now....so you see what I mean? Lakers aren't going to make it past the first or second round of the playoffs.

I'm sorry to say that the lakers are decent but in all honesty it will be a very long time until you see the lakers as champions again. That's just being honest. Kobe is a very good player, but he doesn't completely understand that's its not all about him and everyone knows it. The center/power forward that they need and that extra forward/guard they need won't develop around kobe. It's not kobe's play, its just kobe bryant and who he is that is the poison in the veins of that team. Sorry, they are exciting to watch at times though. Suns/Dallas this year I can't decide but it will be one of those two teams almost guaranteed to win the championship this year.

Miniscule chance of that happening...The Mavs,Suns,Spurs are way to deep for the Lakers to really compete

Click your heels three times, and say there is no place like home repeatedly. You'll wake up in your own bed soon.

Not this season though, them young guys needed at least one more season to mature. Mentally, they aren't ready.
