Oh no! I'm not sure if this'll work if it's gone black already but it's worth a try. Get some brown paper and fold it into several layers. Then pass a hot iron over the top (probably best put a tea towel between the iron and paper). This should heat the gum and make it stick to the paper.

Why do you have people spit chewing gum on your floor?!!!!??

Try put a load of ice cubes in a sandwich bag and leave it over the mark. It should make it easier for you to pull it off.

For sure man, easy, I had the same thing. First you've gotta get it as cold as possible. Hold an ice pack to it for about five minutes. Then you need a wire brush or metal scouring pad to get it off. Works a treat, my mum told me it years ago and she knows ALL about stuff like that. good luck.

Sounds like Pine pitch.
Best thing I ever found was unscented, high quality baby wipes.
You may have to work on it repeatedly, even going back to it for a bit each day, but it sure worked for me.
I have yet to find any stain that cannot be removed this way.

Goo Gone. I've used it. It works well on all sorts of sticky stuff. After you get it out with that, then use a little bit of laundry detergent and some water to get out the Goo Gone.

Super Clean. You can get it in the automotive section at WalMart. It cleans anything. Tubs, sinks, countertops, clothes. It gets ink out too. When my 3 boys played baseball, I even kept their white game pants clean w/it.
Don't get it on your hands, wear gloves. And it only takes a little.
Happy cleaning!
