One of the best bits of advice that you can give is "If you are deep in a hole, stop digging." The US is so deep in the hole of Iraq because of its ill-advised and amoral military intervention that clambering out with as much dignity as they can muster and then getting the hell away as quickly as possible is the only option. But not to President Dubya. Oh no! He thinks that the best thing to do is to send in more troops and try and bash the hell out of the wicked folk who are still making trouble.
Whose side is Dubya on? Is he going to join the Shiites to fight the Sunnis, or the Sunnis against the Shiites? Maybe he's going to fight both (does he know the difference?).

So 20,000 young Americans are going to be at risk because of the President’s vanity and stupidity. Is he now clinically and certifiably insane. What do you think?

They say that the definition of certifiably insane is that you keep doing the same thing and expect different results.

If his speech today was any indication, Bush is going to keep on doing the same thing and expect different results.

I was extremely anti the war in Iraq having said that, it's the Iraqi insurgents + other terrorist rabble who have turned Iraq into a hell hole, not the British or Americans. The government of Iraq is pretty useless as well, the majority of whom are either Shia or Sunni (not sure which, think Shia), the government needs to be made up of both factions and a power sharing system introduced so that they can bring their respective rabble under some sort of control. It's easy and fashionable to blame Bush for everything and yes,in the past, I have done the same, but not anymore. Lets look at and blame those who are causing the problems - Iraqi insurgents, they should be held responsible.

If only saying he is insane would describe it. The sad part is I don't understand how he became president, and even saddier is that fact that we are still letting him be president of this country.

It's funny how we freaked out about Clintion affair and all and got him impeached and stuff, and this guy is going around wasting out tax dollars for some stupid cause he came up with to make up for his dad. Kill 100's of inncent people, and taking out minds away from the learn threat. All the while everyone seems to just ignore it and do nothing about it. Like we are all just going he only has a year and a half left, just let him be. Sad huh?

How about we send him off to war, maybe then someone can shoot some sense in to him.

I don't see Tony Blair as a poodle to Bush... though I have to agree with most of the other posters here.

Throwing more bodies at the problem is only going to put more bodies in harm's way. If our military leaders think they need it, then so be it, but all the reports from the military leaders seem to say otherwise.

What we need to do is to slowly start bringing our troops home, and give the Iraqi people a real, solid timeframe with which to plan ahead for their own leadership to enforce laws.

The whole situation is a mess and sadly George and his poodle (blair) don't have any idea as to how they can resolve it.

When politicians make a mess like this many innocents die but the politician is untouched, except perhaps a little hurt pride, and will retire, go on the lecture circuit, earn a fortune with a biography (neither are bright enough to write their own of course) and in years to come will be rememberd as great statesmen. After they die, of course.

He seems to be becoming a real and genuine psychopath, he sends more and more troops into Iraq and also bombs areas os Somalia just because he thinks that they are Al Quida areas. Surely this is an act of war against Somalia.

The UN must stop him, he is a megalomaniac!
