look at pricewatch.com or search various websites for POS technology, in this case meaning Point of Sale. usually this consists of swipe card machine stuff and touch screens and magnetic card readers.

You get one when you sign up to take credit cards.. You usually have to be a business with a Tax number to get one.

Perhaps there is a black market for them???
