idk about that, but i know they both mix with the media

But then you realize today's world has too much media to guarantee a following and you realize that Journalism not only doesn't matter anymore, it is merely an expression of a media organism's agenda...

So, do they mix? Yes, for agendas can create alliances and strike against enemies.

Should they mix? I used to believe they were inseparable...but now I just wish that journalists would stick to writing about the underbellies of the black market and leave the politics to the Bloggers.

Of course you have to keep up with politics if you are a journalist. But a good journalist never mixes political opinions with the facts.

they kind of need each other to survive, do they not?

politicians need publicity provided by journalists.

journalists need the investigative report about the crooked politician.
