How will i install IE6 wen advanced version of IE already exist in my system?

Question

i had installed IE7 in my system...bt nw i want to reinstall ie6 ...i tried to install by ...removing ie from control panels...add n remove windows components....bt still it dint work out . It says... advanced version of ie already exist. cannot install ie6

To uninstall Internet Explorer 7 to return to Internet Explorer 6 on Windows XP

Click "Start," and then click "Control Panel."
Click "Add or Remove Programs."
Check "Show Updates" at the top of the dialog box.
Scroll down the list and highlight the version of Internet Explorer 7 that you are running, and then click "Change/Remove."
Uninstall that,restart your PC and you are on IE6

If the above method fails, u can uninstall it by inserting the WinXp Cd in the drive. Select Add/remove windows components, selct IE then Ok . That should do it, as it did in my case!!

Hi,

Both the answers given above are good. If you cant do either of the above, you can do a system-restore.

Assuming you use WindowsXP, click "Start", click "Help and Support" click, click "Performance and maintanance", click "Using system restore to Undo Changes".

This may be the easiest method actually.
