To show that this is true, compute the number of days in 17 years (do not forget to add 1 day for each leap year.) You will find that the number is divisible by 7. Then 34, 51, etc. are all multiple of 17.

I don't know if that''s true. I born in February and on a Friday. The leap year effects the day on which it falls so the year athat follows the leap year (or every five years) it actually skips a day of the week.
Which is why my 33rd birthday falls on a Thursday and my 34th birthday will be on a Saturday.

Didn't work like that for me. I was born on Friday, January 13th 1988 (According to the hospital) and it didn't fall on that date again until my 18th birthday. I know that it doesn't work out, but that is what my doctor claims, so either someone wasn't paying attention or I am adopted.

you're not taking into account leap years, and the fact that every 100 years there is no leap year when there should be. so this may not be the case ALL the time :-P
