My current colleagues are really boring but I've had three different jobs in the past that I really missed my colleagues when I left cause work was such a laugh.

yes but you have to accept that they were the right people at the right time or maybe your the key!

Yes, one time I worked as a nurse on a psychiatric unit, and I wondered what it would be like, but I had such fun colleagues that I actually couldn't wait to go to work. We would just laugh so much and got along so good that work wasn't a burden. It's rare, and of course we all moved on.

I've had that too. It seems to be rare. And all of them are now dead and I miss them a lot. Count your blessings that you knew them. Sometimes it just takes time to get to know people and it helps if you can get them all together after work hours to get to know them outside of work. People can let their hair hang down then.
