Listen up...Leave!! You are too good for all the drama because obviously if you have stayed 3 years, you had every intention of making it work. He is hiding something. Its likely to be children, kids and an entire other life. Dump him and find someone who is ready to open you up to their real life because no offense, this guy is bogus. Come on, 3 years? Contact him and hold your ground, tell him straight up you think he's hiding something, tell him what makes you aware he is (not letting you go to his home in 3 years) and tell him you're gone. Don't even let him try to sweet talk you out of it because obviously he's the slick type.

how have you stayed with someone for three years, and the address you two are living in is not his home? It more sounds like an affair.
Anyways there can be many reasons why he doesn't want you to go to his home, maybe the neighborhood is not good enough for you, maybe he is sharing it with someone who believes that he is not involved with anybody else! (yes there can be both legitimate and illegitimate reasons for him not wanting you to visit his home).
Depends upon how good you know this guy. Ask him directly the reason he has to offer. And try to verify what he is saying without going there yourself. Then plan your life accordingly (and whatever your findings, I will always be uncomfortable to live with someone who doesn't want to be seen with me at his neighborhood).

He's hiding something or someone. Have you asked him why he doesn't want you over to his home? If not, ask him. If he doesn't answer you, tell him there is an obvious lack of trust and tell him it's over. I doubt it if it's just because he's a lousy housekeeper.
