Praise, if sincere is rewarding and uplifting, however should not be the motivation for doing we should give and do good without thought of reward, whether verbal or otherwise.

I love being praised when I achieve something. Recently I saved my company money, and the woman I am assistant to congratulated me. I don't like being 'over praised', such as having a big deal made out of something insignificant I did.
Praise is an amazing and powerful tool, but can seem insincere if not used properly and then it becomes an insult and patronising. Also it makes all the more poignant when praises are not forth coming. Better than any telling off!
It is the same with compliments, learn to take them with grace, and people will be impressed.

Obviously Yes. But I wont like if they praise me too much than actual situation or if they praise when we haven't done nothing.

To praise someone is a gift and reward for something
well done, so it will be gratifying to receive. Some people
think they know everything better than anyone else, so
it is also a gift to know when and how to praise others. So
I praise you for asking this question which I consider to be
important. Thanks for asking since your question raises
the level of most in Q&A, and will rid us of a few conceited
pests! Good for you, Iain

yeah, but it's weird when people ask for criticism, when they only want praise. It feels good, but i'll know when the praise isn't genuine, it's only there to help boost your ego.

Depends on what kinda praise. Once a while it will kinda make me feel good. But if it is persistent or sounds insincere or sounds like a mockery in disguise, of course I will be pissed.

Most of time I don't. I'm deaf so I often get ignored, when people praise me, it usually make me think "well why are you telling me after not talking to me for age?"

I think everyone likes to feel appreciated and not taken for granted... praise for doing something well is fine providing it's not patronising.
But I hate the ego powered sales motivation talks.. Yuk.
