Actually I believe you typed it in backwards, (unless you are counting from the bottom string up), I suppose they are in that order because somewhere along the line *they* had to find and agree upon a system to identify musical notes. Also you are referring to a standard traditional guitar tuning, there are a ton of different tuning's available. Hope this helps man
