Japanese. It would help since I live here and would also aid me in reading manga and understand anime and not have to wait for those things to be translated.
But besides that, I find the dead language, Latin very interesting. The English language was derived from it after all. It holds a lot of meaning.
Some other languages like arabic. The writing is beautiful. It has complex curves and it's very intricate.

Ancient Egyptian.

Considering not a single person on Earth truly knows that language, I could provide invaluable insights into the language and culture of the Egyptians... And I could actually get employed as an Egyptologist!

French, it could be great to impress someone by taking them to a French restaurant and speaking to the waiter in French.
Not to mention all the things you could say to her in French, after dinner...

It would be Tagolog. My fiance is Philipina. She speaks english, but I want to learn her language and how to read and write it. I think it would bring us closer.

Hebrew. I completely forgot every thing about Hebrew I knew after my Bar-Mitzvah. I am not at all religious, but I feel guilty about not knowing Hebrew. It's part of my culture and I have killed it.

as my mom tongue is vietnamese, i opt to communicate english fluently. now i will talk english particularly properly, so i opt to communicate chinese language mandarin fluently ^^ so grasping =] kaka
