I am blackfoot (native american), african (kenyan) and russian. My boyfriend is lithuanian and german. People seem very uncomfortable at times that we are together due to the fact that we look so different. I in the past have always been an equal opportunity dater. I am wondering what the big deal is. I think everone is "mixed" in some way or another. I don't think there is such a thing as a pure ethnicity.

Seeing how I am married to a white guy,I think interracial dating is okay. But before I got married I dated every type of ethnicity. I am a firm believer in equal opportunity dating.

Dating is fine. It doesn't really hurt anyone. But, if this mixed race couple have children there will be a different issue. The majority of mixed races are very well accepted however, Caucasian and African American mixed people have the age old stigma of being considered as "not belonging to any side" or as a ***** no matter how light the skin and fair the hair because of the law instituted during slavery times to keep slaves who looked caucasian from having the same rights because of their skin color. I believe the law also says the child is the race of the father due to the conflict of the slave law.

I don't see why some people do have a problem with it. I'm seeing a mixed woman right now, and I like her very much. People that throw a hissy fit because of it, needs to just get over it.

I can't see anything wrong with it at all. Being against it makes as much sense as saying brown eyed people cannot date people with green eyes.

There is nothing wrong with it. It's the person that counts not the color of their skin.
