check at your local news paper usually they have volunteer to dispose it or either cut smaller piece put it in trash bag.

Look online for Christmas tree recycling sites. I just drove up and dumped it out of the truck with hundreds of others. They set them up in parking lots and at schools and I guess a big truck comes and picks them all up.

Most counties have a day for tree pick-up. You can call the garbage collectors for schedules.
