He is friggin awsome, I think he is finally getting his due though. He has been mentioned in MVP talks the last two years.

I think Dirk has leveled off and he is somewhat taken for granite because he is so consistent night in and night out. Solid.
He doesn't need to score 50 or 60 to get attention. He's to much of a complete team player.

i don't think he's underrated.. he is a great basketball player.. especially for a guy that is 7' tall.. i think he's the best 7'er in the game.. he has a nice shot and runs the floor good.. but his 'D' does suck.. but that's also cause he has to guard the 4 and 5 spots on the floor and he's not a 4 and 5 defensive player..

No, he's right where he should be...every time I see a Mavericks game...all they talk about is him...it's almost ridiculous.
Of course, his game is also ridiculous...almost getting all his crazy shots like that....
But no, seriously...if they win the ring, he gets the MVP....assuming they beat Phoenix and he doesn't suck like last year's finals...

I believe he is underrated, too.
However, until he brings a championship to Dallas, he'll never be the NBA MVP. Also, he needs to pick up his "D" to be a great all-around player.

I would say underrated..by a slight margin..he is definately getting more of his due now,after last years playoff push and the teams good start to this year
