I like acousticy type stuff...... soulful..... with a message! I even like some bob dylan and older acoustic guys with a good message. ANY IDEAS?

They actually create a custom radio station for you after you type in some bands you like!
You can approve or disapprove of a song they play and it keeps adapting music to your tastes. pretty cool they have many artists so you are sure to find something you like on there!

This is one of his brilliant songs. Also recommend The John Butler Trio, The Audreys, The Waifs they are all great bands with great messages. Hope you enjoy them!

I love those guys too. You can try Simon and Garfunkel. There's the Shins, Ken Oak Band, the Eagles, Goo Goo dolls has a couple of good acoustic songs, The Fray, Augustana ("Boston")....you can try classical music as well or soundtracks from various things such as anime even. Japan makes an effort to make anime music good so examples, Tsubasa Chronicle has a great soundtrack. Jason Mraz has a couple of good songs...Definitely look into Coldplay (especially their CD "Parachutes"). If you want suggestions for some really good rock bands that wrote songs with great messages, I can really help you there.

try Pandora.com you can enter a musician or a song and theyll give you other songs that are similar. ive used it a few times and found a lot of singers and bands that had a similar style to Jack Johnson.

Xavier Rudd is cool, a little like Jack Johnson. Pete Murray is also good if you like that sort of stuff. Don't know if they have any "messages" since I don't really like them, but you might :-)
