Yahoo is a web server which provides you many facilities like email, groups, yahoo answers, games, geocities, etc.
* yahoo mail is used to send and receive mails.
* yahoo groups is used to create a group where you can bring all your friends
* yahoo games has a variety of games
* yahoo photos allows you to upload your photos to the internet and you can send the link to your friends and relatives, so that you can share you photos with others.
Not only these there are also many features. Just log in to yahoo.com and browse it.

Open internet explorer, on the address bar type www.yahoo.com. In this u can have many features...u can even mail to ur friends, and see the news....etc.

since you have entered into yahoo! answers....
main purpose of yahoo! in india is yahoo! mail and yahoo! groups ..
others are also informative but less used...
if you want to mail then use mail.yahoo.com etc..
