Circumcision is a double whammy. First, the foreskin itself is loaded with pleasure receptors, and you lose that. Then the glans, which had been protected by the foreskin from rubbing on clothing, gets a protective layer of keratin to make everyday life bearable, and that cuts down further on sexual pleasure.
Many cut men have so little sensation that they cannot climax from normal sexual contact but have to masturbate to come. You can imagine how that goes over with their partners!
The men who are happier after circumcision are the ones that had problems before the surgery. They are free of the problems, but they don't ask themselves if there might have been a way of dealing with the problem while retaining the pleasures of the foreskin. Most cases of phimosis, for example, can be dealt with easily without circumcision, but doctors suggest the way that is easiest (and most profitable) for them. For an account from someone who had it done for non-medical reasons, read http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;_ylt=AhqF0z8I.9CSmrSFtIbTk3bsy6IX?qid=20070101193846AA385UM&show=7#profile-info-fb8a1b49d382006d635917de9dc08b3baa

Absolutely untrue! You have probably read that on an anti-circ web page and you should ignore such propaganda. I chose to be circumcised as an adult and not for any medical reason, some 20 years ago and I can assure you that I get FAR more pleasure form sex than I did when I had a foreskin rolling back and forth during intercourse. My wife also gets far more effective stimulation from my circumcised penis, it's also more hygienic, more comfortable , more attractive to my wife and better in every way that we can think of. Getting circumcised was undoubtedly one of the best things that I have ever done. There are NO disadvantages to being circumcised, no matter what some of the uninformed people here may write to the contrary (they are usually young, inexperienced women or uncircumcised men, so they cannot have any first hand knowledge of circumcision) I thoroughly recommend that you go ahead with the circumcision and make sure that all surplus skin is removed to give a "Tight" result for maximum benefit.

It is true that circumcized men are less sensitive because their head is always rubbing on their underwear, getting desensitized rather than being protected under the hood of skin. Not sure about the pleasure spectrum. If you are getting circumsized for sanitary reasons, I would suggest antibacterial wipes (which can be handy in individual packets) and absorbant powder. Maybe you can avoid the circumcision.

I am 66 years old and circumcised. I have never had any trouble experiencing sexual pleasure. There's no real proof that circumcised men experience less sexual pleasure than do uncircumcised men since there is no objective way to measure this pleasure factor. It is highly subjective.

It's totally untrue. I am circumsized and I never thought I have less pleasure during sex. I think it is just black propaganda of individuals against circumcision.
