Focus on driving safely and slowly, no matter how many others are driving super fast and skipping you, and follow the Rules of the Road. I got into an awful accident and the car was totaled, air bags deployed, but thank god just came out with some bruises and cuts...after that I realized that NOTHING is worth a possible death over, and to always drive safely, cause wherever you're going is most likely still going to be there, even if its 10 or 15 or 30 minutes later.

When you get into the drivers seat and get on the road you will see things like this and it wont worry you.

When my mum drives she goes over the outside line and that scares me because if you come too close to the guard rail then a nasty scratch would occur.

There is no reason to be afraid you shouldn't let it stop you from driving or learning to drive because these are the sort of things that will come up.

Driving a car is a great thing because you can get around easier and quicker then taking public transport etc.

You will be safe if you take the time to look around you and make sure you drive in the speed limit and never over.

If you don't want to get near a truck then slow down a little and if you have to stop beside one just take it slowly and calmly and you will do perfectly fine :)

You shouldn't let this stop you from going because it's a challenge for yourself to complete and you will get through it with flying colours :)

Never mind about your friend's driving. Concentrate on your own. Follow the rules of the road. I've been driving for over 50 years. Yes, driving is a little on the scary side; but you can't be a scaredycat all your life.

Like the wise man above me said, ignore your friend's driving, and make sure you have a responsible and experience driver teach you the safe way to drive. If it wasn't for my father teaching me, I wouldn't have been able to drive from Mississippi to Pennsylvania a month after I got my license.

That's nothing. I've been driving over 35 years, with a good record, and my friend's driving has her fearful of MY driving! She says I don't know how to drive, cause I've never been in as many accidents as SHE has!
