Long story short, corporate America radio sucks, especially here in NYC, and I need variety. My only alternative is satellite.

I need to know which is best XM or Sirius?

I don't care about sports, talk, news, ANYTHING... ONLY music... and variety. My main love is dance and house music, but I love hip hop, reggaeton, etc... PARTY MUSIC...

In addition to that, what are monthly fees, installment fees, and so on... I want the lowdown and what I need to know, and any info. would be fantastic...

Thanks~

I have tried Sirius and XM satellite radios. They are both similar in programming and music. If you are solely into music than XM is the stronger leader. Sirius is stronger in terms of talk, comedy as well as sports programming. XM seems to have more of durable and more choices in radio receivers than Sirius satellite radio.

As far as pricing you can either pay a monthly plan or a annual plan. You can pay $12.95 per month or $142.45 for a entire year a savings of 8 percent over a monthly plan for both Sirius and XM Satellite Radio. There will be a activation fee to activate your receiver of $14.99.

If you need more information you can go to the following

my husband ended up getting the xm last year and our son took it over...I think it runs about 10 a month..than for Christmas we bought our son,who is into rap, the pioneer xm with the mp3 built in with it (circuit city had them for $349..walmart had them for $249)...now he records directly off the satellite and it stores in his player .....to add his player onto the account it was like an extra 6 bucks a month....he loves it......

don't know if this helps...I am not sure how much Sirius runs or the difference between the two...

Sirius is good. $12 monthly fees. Lots of music channels...too many sometimes! I spend too much time flipping around them and then I miss a favorite song in the process.
