how do u explain to people lost time n should u say what u did even if it horrable?

If they want to know, and you plan on building any type of relationship with them, they should know the truth. It's better to hear it from you than someone else.

Look, you did your time, so as far as the law and society is concerned were square right, the real question is do you regret what you did and would you ever do it again?
If what you did was really horrible and you want to be a better person and go on with life then let people know you were in jail with respect to the lost time. If they press the matter then tell them it's embarrassing, it was a dark time in my life when I was troubled and I am trying to move on. The truth WILL set you free, but you need not share ALL the truth.
If you murdered someone or raped or harmed a child you may want to keep that to yourself. I hope your plans are to contribute positively to society.

You should start out by being truthful about where you have been. I do not believe you need to go into great detail about your crime(s). If you served your sentence you have an experience to share with others whom may be in need of that information.
Even after serving your time from inside walls, you will find many walls on the outside. But those outside you are now free to conquer.

Some people freak about ex-cons, whatever they've done. Difficult to conceal lost time and why if someone goes back to the same area. The account given can make things easier (you don't have to sound like 'son-of-satan'), plus regret if it's genuine: you can't really fake an apology.

Ä° will tell them about life outside about interesting things which they probably didn't see.Also about people and my experience. about how some things can be funny and some sad.talking with people with humor but honestly and open u can open life-door.

my brother(RIP) used to tell my kids when they were little that he was going to bible study!lol he reall did.
