Hello, I am an 18 year old business entrepreneur. I run a car and auto part business both of which I started. I already have made a great start and good money, but would be interested in hearing what others think of forms of advertising cars. I have owned over 45 cars already, but I have a jeep i am selling and have had it with little intrest from buyers. I use eBay and Craigslist, as well as local advertisement on my rear windshield and word of mouth. What would you reccomend, or what has worked for you in buying / selling a car?

I also recently started selling parts (buying bulk lots or entire cars and selling individual parts on eBay) and to my surprise this makes alot more with much fater turnaround.

All answers are greatly appreciated! =]

Try moving the Jeep to a safe location across town. Maybe try a Wal-Mart parking lot,or anywhere with high visiblity. If you haven't already try Auto-Trader.

As for selling parts, also try to sell the good body parts of a vehicle. I've been buying salvage vehicles for 5 years, and repairing them for sale. Ask around at your local Autobody shops, many prefer using used body parts b/c of the cheaper price for them, the customer, and ins agents. Aftermarket parts usually do not fit well on vehicles.

When I bought my car I know that a lot of what I looked at was specifically advertised in local car advertisement magazines that you can pick up near the newspaper stands and in the local paper. I also used yahoo's advertisement service. Good luck!

If you have a truck and a trailer and maybe some help, you ought to get a dealer's license and then go to a dealer auction to buy some salvage cars. They usually have a sale just for salvage dealers.
