Branding is all about trust. In general, that means that any prospective client will choose your brand over a similiar competitor's product because they trust products bearing your company's logo. To a finer point... that means that when someone needs something, and they are standing in the aisle of some vast super-store and are confronted with 15 or so different choices of things that they don't know or have never tried... if your company (NOT the product) is branded, they will pick the one with your company's logo, because they trust the logo... instead of the description on the box (they all sound the same, for heaven's sake, and I'm not going to read all of that jibberish anyway). It is a way of affecting the purchaser's decision before they even decide to buy something. Simply; branding is the process of convincing a potential client that your company (NOT your company's individual products) is to be trusted most in delivering a satisfying product. Then, when the client is presented with a choice, they will choose your company's products... no matter what your competitors say. They will have made their decision before they get to the PoP (Point of Purchase).
